A very precious-looking and perfectly-crafted
McKee Platero Navajo ingot-silver cuff bracelet, 2023
The great Master’s incomparable touch is all over this beauty, it’s got everything that makes McKee Platero’s work so unbelievably and uniquely good. Start with its heavy duty construction, everything made exactly as it should be, weighty cast ingot-silver shank, perfectly and precisely decorated with an extraordinary display of no less than 19 perfectly executed small repoussees, stampwork and chisel work literally out the wazoo, no one else can do it like this and all
this within a restrained and elegant, yet artistically extravagant overall design presentation.
Superlatives really fail here, all one can really say is the one word that perfectly sums it all up and that is simply
“WOW”. This guy is just on another planet good, just totally out of this world. As you can plainly see here, it's so
precious looking, it literally glows.
“Platero comes from a family of silversmiths, his grandfather
and his uncles were known for their heavy silver jewellery with deep and precise stampwork, and Platero continues this tradition.”
-The British Museum

The bracelet measures 1" in continuous width all the way around. The inner circumference end to end is 5 3/4" and the gap between the terminals is 1 1/4" for a total interior circumference of 7". The bracket weighs a very solid and respectable,
yet quite comfortable 79 grams or 2 3/4 ounces and it is properly and beautifully signed "McKee L. Platero" and is also dated "2023" in Platero’s lovely cursive script on the interior. The bracelet is in completely excellent, near-pristine original condition.
There’s not a whole lot more to say here except that this is a rare opportunity to become one of the few, the fortunate
and the proud to own a piece of this particular brand of greatness. This is the type of piece which could very easily become your one and only go to, the piece you wear every day and do not feel complete without. You will, as the Navajo say,
“Walk in Beauty” with this one on.
