WHO WE ARE

_______

Dottie Diamant and Steve Diamant

are the principals of Fine Arts of the Southwest, Inc.

We are Southwestern enthusiasts in every sense of the word.

We are fascinated by this land, by its history, its beauty and its extraordinary artistic traditions. We are devoted to its people and passionate about its food. We collect exactly what we deal in. Our home is not filled with African sculpture or Chinese bronzes.

We are constantly roaming the southwest—on foot, by car and four-wheel drive, on bicycles and in rafts, in search of Art, knowledge and adventure.

If you don’t find us in the office, chances are we are deep in the redrock country of Tsegi or Oak Creek Canyon in Arizona, celebrating Feast Day at San Felipe Pueblo or a Bean Dance at Hopi, floating through the Goosenecks of the San Juan River in Utah, hiking Santa Fe’s Aspen Vista Trail or, in Dottie’s case, descending at Mach speed down “Al’s Run” in Taos or “The Plunge” in Telluride.

(Not that you should ever worry about being able to contact us.

Our computers and mobile devices are always close at hand, so we are always just an email away.)

  WHAT WE DO

_______

We are a private, online-only art business who offer our clients

an outstanding selection of the many fine arts of the American Southwest--from canvas to clay, from silver to stone, from

ancient to modern.

We buy and sell historic Western paintings, Native American jewelry, pottery, baskets and textiles, Antique New Mexican Devotional art and furniture and vintage western photography. Then we go further to also offer fine examples of 20th Century American Modernist painting, sculpture, furniture and architectural antiques as well as selected pieces by contemporary artists.

We work with private collectors, dealers, galleries, companies, foundations, and museums across the country as well as around

the world. Over the years, we have placed significant pieces in the collections of The Art Institute of Chicago, The Stark Museum of Art, The Thomas Gilcrease, Fred Jones and Price Tower Art Center Museums, The Heard Museum and The New Mexico State Museums of Fine Art and International Folk Art.

We are located in beautiful Santa Fe, New Mexico, the historic

heart of the American Southwest. Feel free to contact us anytime

to discuss the artwork available on this site or anything else you might be interested in as the items offered here comprise only a small portion of the large selection of artworks we have available at any given time.

In addition to selling art we are always interested in purchasing art, from individual items to entire collections or estates. We can also provide you with expert and discreet consultation and assistance in acquiring or selling works of art at auction.

We look forward to working with you.
