A beautiful pair of vintage Navajo silver and turquoise dangle earrings, c. 1940’s-50’s

They’re obviously made for your ears, but what they really grab first are your eyes. These striking and dramatic earrings just have a terrific look; long and gracefully shaped, and very richly-colored.

The unknown historic Navajo silversmith who created these earrings really knew his craft, they are most subtly formed with a graceful curving shape, five beautiful turquoise stones set in a vertical row in old-style “foldover” silver bezels and a lovely section of applied decorative stampwork designs at the bottom.

The earrings measure 2 1/2” in length from the top of the upper section to the bottom of the lower section. They are 9/16” wide at their widest points and they weigh an extremely comfortable 5 grams or 1/8 ounce.

The earrings are in excellent condition. We had our professional jeweler replace the original screwback closures with 14K white gold posts.

These earrings are beautiful, easy to wear dramatic pieces which would look just as lovely worn with

a tee- shirt and jeans as they would with a fancy cocktail dress.
