An original architectural drawing of a New Mexico tin light fixture by William Penhallow Henderson, Santa Fe, c.1925-1930

This unique and fascinating design for a New Mexico tin light fixture was created by the great Santa Fe artist, architect and furniture maker, William Penhallow Henderson (1877-1943) for an unknown commercial building or residential commission.

The drawing is graphite on architectural paper and measures 10” by 19 3/4” (sight) and 19” by 29 1/2” (framed). Anyone who appreciates Henderson’s wonderful hand-made wooden furniture will immediately recognize his iconic, decorative style in this piece. The drawing is matted and framed to the strictest archival standards by Goldleaf Framemakers of Santa Fe in a beautiful dark wood period-style frame under ultraviolet light-protective “Museum” conservation glass.
